Wingardium Leviosa

Today, after getting a full nights rest I realized I had an entire day to do whatever I pleased. So I texted some friends and asked if they wanted to go to speakers corne with me today. Speakers corner is past the marble arch of hyde park right on the corner of the park. This is an area where on sunday afternoon people come and complain/debate about anything they choose!

I have so much fun listening to the different Brits rant about nothing. There was this old lady who was convenced that immigration was the source of all of englands problems and theur was another man who thought that love...not bombs or weapons brought down the roman empire.

There were also socialists and religious extremists there as well.

My goal for the day was to find platform 9 3/4 from Harry Potter. It was located in an underground/train station called King's Cross. Surely enough, I found it!! It was all kinds of awesome.
Then after finding the platform we decided to wonder around the train station since the area looked somewhat safe. We ended up stumbling across the british library.

Within this library holds:

two of the four original magna carta copies
handels orignial manuscript for the messiah
beethovens 9th symphony manuscript
ben britten- pencil written war requiem drafts
beethovens tuning fork which was eventually handed off to Gustav Holst
Da Vinci's right to left in italian work on paper
and so much more. These things were just the highlights for me. This place was filled with tons of literary, musical, historical and artistic artifacts that I've only heard about in history class.

All in all, today was an excellent day in London
Cheers!
