Wednesday... Mario had his first football friendly (scrimmage). I played lright wing and center back for the second half. I had some touches and I got rid of the ball twice! I messed up a lot as well but the point is thatI had so much fun out their. I was intense and played as well as I could. Now, Saturday we play the Goldsmith 2nd team.
I even got some votes for Man of the Game! Great... now I can't suck anymore. My aim is to continously get better and represent for all us football fanatics.
After the game, we toasted to our success at Sports Night at the student union even though all the teams lost (mine lossed 9 to 1). This toast ended up being an incredibly long night off toasting. Nevertheless it was great to be welcomed into the football club. I almost feel like I'm going through pledging again trying to impress and just find my niche.
Today I had my first voice lesson and I enjoyed it very much. We worked solely on vocal technique. I felt as though I was learning to sing all over again. My voice teacher back home will be really proud of the progres just as long as I work like a dog to achieve the sound I want.
Can I just say how much my flat mate rule! Justine is a flat mate of mine and she's a music ed person too and she has an appreciation of peas just like me :) One of my football mates/personal football tutor/ good friend is her bf. Tomorrow we are seeing this techno trance guy that has crazy beats.
I love how football is so embedded in the fiber of europeans. For example, tonight I got the urge to kick the ball around outside so I went out. And sure enough we had a three way game happening. So many tips...
Anywho, it is now going on 2 in the morning and I should have been asleep hours ago.
