Football (soccer) Super Star!

Ok, so I'm not a superstar actually far from it but I don't care. I love being part of the team and just learning as I go. Today was football trial #2 and I felt like such a veteran because I knew what to expect. I learned today that I need to be more physical with my play tactics. I've been holding back in fear of being reprimended. But this is actually quite the opposite. No problem :)

Today's football trial took a major toll on my body. But I still got up the energy to go to Chinatown tonight. I went with a flat mate and one of her friends. We ate at this awesome restaurant and just walked around. Then we went to a bakery and got delicious deserts. I ate a lot of sweets. Oops.

Comparitively speaking I'm not a very good football player...yet. But I have three things that will make me progress very quickly:

1) The will to actually learn and take the heat for sucking sometimes
2) People willing to help and finally
3) Lots of Aleve for pain relief

I figure I have very little, if anything at all to lose in this situation. I am not competing for anything nor am I fighting for a special honor. I just want to learn how to play football- that's it. So I'll screw up and do wrong things and mess up completely and drive everyone insane because of my unfamiliarity and I'll love every minute of it. Because I am in London and I will soak up all I can from this experience...even if I come up with a couple of scratches.

Cheers
